Join us in rebuilding Ondru: Become a Key Supporter
Our vision is to build a society where every voice matters, every story finds its place, and every individual is embraced with dignity. We understand that many communities face significant barriers to equitable opportunities, representation, and social inclusion. Through our art projects, we strive to bridge these gaps by sparking meaningful conversations, deepening understanding, and fostering reconciliation.
By supporting Ondru, you’re helping us continue this vital work—creating a world where compassion and connection flourish.
Help us fund the Human Thesis: Afghan Stories project
We are currently working on the Human Thesis: Afghan Stories project - hand-woven stories of enduring human displacement. A multidisciplinary art project that aims to express past and ongoing displacement experienced by people of Afghanistan. The project is developed based on three fundamental principles co-developed with the community: Home, Freedom and Diversity of Experience.
You can join our journey and become a change maker by helping us raise $30,000 to fund the project or donate directly. Together – we can create a more compassionate, connected & equitable society.
The stories are shared collectively as a family or a group, where a hand-made sculpture of each person or group is created with woven stories and experiences of enduring human displacement.
The aim is to provide a voice for those who have been displaced, build solidarity, create a pathway for healing and generate awareness amongst non-Afghan people.
We have completed the pilot project funded by the City of Whittlesea and self-funded the first sculpture of the project. We are now working towards a large installation combining wire-sculptures, photography, videography, digital art and performance art to be exhibited in late 2024.
